Important Notice

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before registering for The Equestrian 25 Autumn Challenge. By registering and making payment, you agree to be bound by these terms.

International Service: We are a US-based company serving international participants. UK residents retain their consumer rights under UK law. These terms are governed by US law but do not override stronger consumer protections in your jurisdiction.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services and participation in The Equestrian 25 Challenge ("Challenge"). By registering for the Challenge, you ("Participant" or "you") agree to these Terms.

2. Challenge Overview

2.1 Challenge Description

The Equestrian 25 Autumn Challenge is a self-paced equestrian activity challenge running from 20 September to 20 November 2025. Participants must complete 25 qualifying equestrian activities during this period to earn a completion rosette.

2.2 Challenge Period

The Challenge runs for all participants from 20 September 2025 to 20 November 2025. This period is fixed and cannot be extended for individual circumstances except in exceptional cases at our sole discretion.

2.3 Eligibility

  • Open to participants worldwide, with particular focus on UK riders
  • Participants under 16 must have parental/guardian consent
  • Must have access to equestrian activities (owned horse, lesson access, or volunteer opportunities)
  • Additional shipping charges may apply for non-UK addresses (UK addresses will not be charged rosette shipping charges)

3. Registration & Payment

3.1 Registration Process

Registration is completed online through our website. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. False information may result in disqualification without refund.

3.2 Payment Terms

The Challenge fee is £25 GBP (British Pounds) for UK participants, payable at the time of registration. Payment must be made by credit/debit card through our secure payment processor. All prices are inclusive of UK delivery costs. Registration is not complete until payment is successfully processed.

Currency conversion rates (if paying with non-GBP cards) are determined by your card issuer. We are not responsible for currency fluctuations or international transaction fees charged by your bank.

4. Challenge Rules & Requirements

4.1 Activity Requirements

Participants must complete 25 qualifying equestrian activities between 20 September and 20 November 2025. Full rules are detailed on our Challenge Rules & Guidelines page, which forms part of these Terms.

4.2 Activity Logging

All activities must be accurately logged with dates and descriptions. Participants are responsible for maintaining their activity log and submitting it upon completion of 25 activities.

4.3 Qualifying Activities

Activities must involve direct interaction with horses or equestrian learning. Care and theory activities are limited to specific circumstances as outlined in our Challenge Rules.

4.4 Submission Requirements

  • Activity log must be submitted by 1 December 2025
  • Submissions must be complete and legible
  • False or misleading submissions may result in disqualification
  • We reserve the right to request verification of activities

4.5 Completion Verification

We review all submissions for compliance with Challenge rules. Our decision on completion status is final. Rosettes are only awarded for verified completions meeting all requirements.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

5.1 Cancellation by Participant

You may cancel your registration within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided the Challenge period has not commenced. Once the Challenge begins (20 September), no refunds are available for non-participation.

5.2 Cancellation by Us

We may cancel the Challenge in exceptional circumstances. If cancelled by us, full refunds will be provided. We are not liable for any additional costs or expenses incurred by participants.

5.3 Non-Completion

No refunds are available for participants who do not complete the Challenge requirements within the specified timeframe. This includes circumstances such as injury, illness, or other personal situations (except in exceptional cases at our discretion).

5.4 Refund Process

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 days using the original payment method. Bank processing times may apply.

6. Liability & Safety

6.1 Risk Acknowledgement

Equestrian activities carry inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree that participation is entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for ensuring your own safety and the safety of horses in your care.

6.2 Insurance Requirements

Participants are strongly advised to maintain appropriate insurance coverage for equestrian activities. We do not provide insurance coverage for participants.

6.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for:

  • Personal injury or death arising from equestrian activities
  • Damage to property
  • Indirect, consequential, or special damages
  • Loss of profits, business, or opportunity

6.4 Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you in connection with the Challenge is limited to the amount paid for registration (£25).

7. Data Protection & Privacy

7.1 Data Collection

We collect personal information necessary for Challenge administration, including contact details, address for rosette delivery, and equestrian background information.

7.2 Data Use

Your personal data is used to:

  • Administer your Challenge participation
  • Deliver your completion rosette
  • Provide customer support
  • Send Challenge-related communications
  • Improve our services (with your consent)

7.3 Data Protection

We comply with UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Full details of our data practices are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7.4 Marketing Communications

We will only send marketing communications with your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

All content on our website, Challenge materials, and rosette designs are our intellectual property or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content without our written consent.

8.2 Participant Content

By submitting testimonials, photos, or feedback, you grant us permission to use this content for promotional purposes. We will not use personal information without your specific consent.

8.3 Challenge Name and Concept

"The Equestrian 25 Challenge" name and concept are our intellectual property. Participants may not create competing challenges using our name or substantially similar concepts.

9. General Terms

9.1 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect legal requirements or service changes. Material changes will be communicated to registered participants. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

9.2 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State], United States. However, nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights of consumers resident in the UK under UK consumer protection law.

For UK residents: You retain the right to bring proceedings in the UK courts, and UK consumer protection laws will apply where they provide greater protection than US law.

For disputes involving amounts under $5,000 USD (approximately £4,000), we encourage resolution through online dispute resolution platforms or small claims procedures in your local jurisdiction.

9.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

9.4 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions affecting equestrian activities.

9.5 Communication

Official communications will be sent to the email address provided during registration. You are responsible for keeping this information current.

10.2 Complaints Procedure

If you have a complaint, please contact us first to resolve the matter informally. We aim to resolve complaints within 14 days. We are committed to fair treatment of international participants and will work to resolve issues promptly.

10.3 Dispute Resolution

For UK Residents: If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, UK residents may:

  • Use online dispute resolution platforms
  • Contact Citizens Advice for guidance
  • Pursue remedies through UK small claims courts
  • Report issues to UK Trading Standards if applicable

For Other International Participants: Disputes may be resolved through appropriate consumer protection agencies in your jurisdiction or through online dispute resolution services.

10.4 Consumer Rights

UK Consumers: You have rights under UK consumer protection legislation. Nothing in these Terms reduces those rights. For advice, contact Citizens Advice.

Other Jurisdictions: You may have consumer rights under your local laws. These Terms do not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection laws.
